Idea stage to setting up the basic setup and be funding ready

This was the time around June 2015 to Feb 2016.
Me and my cofounder Yash, have discussed multiple ideas before. But somewhere or other we felt there were some of other issue. Some of those ideas are existing in some way in form of start-ups today, not by us though. A lot of those ideas we thought didn't were have good enough market or were too early. One particular idea though was something which we felt had good possibility and looked promising. 

The Idea:
Everytime one shifts home, which we ourselves had done multiple times, one has to do a lot of things that are really cumbersome. Even with the existence of a lot of portals, rise problem was not solved. Discovery was a great issue as the pictures didn't depict truth. There was a possibility to get videos done for better understanding. Then shifting homes is a big hastle. A lot of people are not sure about locations of their jobs, they try multiple jobs and so their location is not fixed. They don't want to settle but are forced to carry baggages of furniture, connection etc. And on the other side there were multiple hotels in city who's inventories are empty. 
So we decided to get hotel rooms on long term basis. Unsold inventory at a great price on long term basis. 

Team:
We got an excellent team ready with people who can lead tech. We were selected in MS bizpark. Also we get a good operations team ready. Got leaders who can build their own divisions. 

Implementation:
We built a huge inventory of hotels and serviced apartments. From zero to about 100 of them. We had practically all of them in Koramangala and good numbers in other locations across Bangalore. For budget wr later on also added quality PGs. Our inventory has reached to about 20000 beds in Bangalore itself. 

Marketing and customer acquisition:
When we were just hotels, we had few visits. But when we added serviced apartment, it bloated and with quality PGs it was peaking. We had a huge number of visits. We used all channels of marketing, we wanted to keep most our budget in check so kept it efficient. We focused most in organic. 

Around Feb 2016 we were ready to raise with our numbers. We have established a business model , we had good ste visits and a few paying customers. And most importantly we have been able to make a good team.
